FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition will be conducted in a hybrid format, beginning with two Preliminary Rounds held online, followed by Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the Final Round conducted offline at the MNLU Nagpur campus. A total of five rounds will be held. In each round, the Negotiating Team (Client–Counsel pair) and the Mediator compete independently and are scored separately. All registered teams participate in the Preliminary Rounds, after which the top 8 Client–Counsel pairs and top 8 Mediators advance to the advanced knockout rounds. Each round simulates real-world commercial mediation involving joint sessions and caucuses.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The competition is open to universities and institutions recognised by the Bar Council of India offering 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes. All team members must be currently enrolled students from the same institution. Eligibility and final selection of teams shall be subject to the discretion of the ADR Society, MNLU Nagpur, based on the institution’s ADR profile submitted during provisional registration.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each participating team shall consist of three members:

  • One Client

  • One Counsel

  • One Mediator

The Client and Counsel together form the Negotiating Team, while the Mediator competes independently. Once submitted, the team composition cannot be changed, except with prior permission of the Organising Committee under extraordinary circumstances.

Important Dates 

  • 1st Week of February 2026 – Release of Mediation Proposition

  • 6 February 2026 – Disclosure of Party Roles

  • 7–8 February 2026 – Online Preliminary Rounds

  • 28–29 March 2026 – Offline Advanced Rounds at MNLU Nagpur


Registration Fees

  • Preliminary Rounds: ₹7,000 per team

  • Advanced Rounds (Qualified Teams): Additional ₹2,000 per participant
    (Includes food, accommodation, and local transportation during offline rounds)

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 31st January 2026.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
