2nd National Corporate Client Counselling Competition 2026 (NCCCC 2026)
Organised by Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (MNLU Mumbai) through
The Centre for Training & Research in Commercial Regulations (CTRCR).

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition has two stages Preliminary Rounds (Online) and Advanced Rounds (On-Campus).
In the Preliminary Rounds (27–28 February 2026, online), up to 40 teams (institutional and open teams) will compete. Each team will argue two different propositions across two days, covering varied areas of corporate law. Each session includes 20 minutes of client counselling followed by a 10-minute post-consultation discussion, then feedback and scoring. Scores from both prelims are added, and the Top 4 teams advance.
The Advanced Rounds (11 April 2026, on campus at MNLU Mumbai) include Semi-Finals (Top 4, before a 3-judge panel) and the Final (Top 2, before a 5-judge panel). The team with the highest final score is declared the winner.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The competition is open to all law students enrolled in:

  • a 5-year integrated law programme, or

  • a 3-year LL.B. programme.

Teams may register either as:

  • University-nominated teams (through ADR/Moot societies), or

  • Open teams (individual students selected on the basis of CV evaluation, subject to slot availability).


TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team consists of two members:

  • One participant acting as Counsel

  • One participant acting as Client

In all rounds, selected students from MNLU Mumbai will role-play as clients, and participating teams will counsel them.

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • 7 January 2026 – Registrations Open

  • 15 February 2026 – Registrations Close

  • 27–28 February 2026 – Preliminary Rounds (Online)

  • 11 April 2026 – Advanced Rounds (On-Campus at MNLU Mumbai)

Registration Fees

  • Preliminary Rounds Fee: ₹4,500 per team

  • Additional Fee for Teams Advancing to Final Rounds: ₹5,500 per team

Awards
  • Winner: ₹20,000 + Internship Opportunities

  • Runners-Up: ₹10,000 + Internship Opportunities

  • Best Counsel: ₹10,000 + Internship Opportunities

  • Best Client: Internship Opportunities

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 10th February 2026.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
