 We are pleased to announce the 7th Edition of the NUJS Mediation Competition 2025!

EVENT NAME:

7th NUJS Mediation Competition, 2025

FORMAT:

The 7th NUJS Mediation Competition will take place offline at the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) campus in Kolkata, India. The competition will have two preliminary rounds, followed by the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. Universities are allowed to express interest in sending more than one team, subject to the availability of slots, which will be allocated at the discretion of the ADR Society.

Each team will consist of three members: a negotiating team with two members (Client and Counsel) and a mediator. The negotiating teams and mediators will compete separately, with breaks scheduled for each group independently. The rounds will consist of mediated negotiations, with two negotiating teams and two mediators. Each team may also bring a maximum of one coach.

The winners of this competition will qualify for the Warsaw Negotiation World Rounds.

TEAM COMPOSITION:
Each team must consist of three members:

  • Mediator: One team member will assume the role of the mediator.
  • Negotiating Team: Two members, one acting as the Client and the other as the Counsel.

The roles of participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the competition.

ELIGIBILITY:
The competition is open to law students, as well as students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or allied subjects.

REGISTRATION FEE:

  • For National Teams: ₹12,000 per team
  • For International Teams: USD 150 per team

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Preliminary Rounds: 28th February - 1st March 2025
  • Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals & Finals: 2nd March 2025

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 27th January 2025 by 11:59 pm.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
