FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition is conducted in an online client counselling format simulating a real lawyer–client consultation. It consists of Preliminary Round, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Final Round spread across three days. Each team performs a timed client consultation session followed by a post-consultation discussion before judges. Teams are evaluated on legal analysis, interviewing technique, empathy, strategy, clarity of advice, and professional ethics. Problem propositions are drawn mainly from family law, constitutional law, and succession-related themes.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Students enrolled in three-year or five-year law degree programmes in any year from any recognized university, law school, college, or department are eligible to participate. Only one team per institution is permitted, and participation is capped (initially 32 teams) on a first-come, first-served basis..

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team must consist of exactly two members, designated as Counsel 1 and Counsel 2, who will jointly conduct the client counselling session. No additional team members are allowed, and once registered, the team composition remains fixed for the competition.

Registration Fees

      • ₹2,000 per team
        Non-refundable and non-transferable; payment acknowledgement must be submitted with the registration form

Awards
  • 🏆 Winning Team — Trophy + ₹15,000
  • 🥈 Runner-Up Team — Trophy + ₹10,000
  • ⭐ Best Counsel — ₹8,000

  • ⭐ Runner-Up Counsel — ₹5,000

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 26th February 2026.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
