Lex Communique 2026 – Client Counselling Competition
Organised by the ADR Society, Thakur Ramnarayan College of Law

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition is designed as a simulated law office client consultation where each team counsels a dummy client and is evaluated by judges. It consists of three rounds: Preliminary, Quarter-Final, and Final. In the Preliminary Round, all registered teams compete in a 15-minute session (10 minutes consultation plus 5 minutes post-consultation). The top eight teams advance to the Quarter-Finals, which run for 20 minutes (15 + 5). The top two teams from the Quarter-Finals qualify for the Final Round, which runs for 25 minutes (15 + 10). Teams are judged on client interviewing, legal analysis, advice, strategy, communication, and teamwork.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year law degree courses, in any year, from any recognized university, law school, college, or department are eligible to participate. The official language of the competition is English and all oral submissions must be made in English. Participation is team-based and subject to registration confirmation.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each participating team must consist of two students from the same institution, designated as Counsel 1 and Counsel 2. Both members jointly conduct the client consultation and post-consultation discussion. Teams are assigned a Team Code by the organisers and must maintain anonymity throughout the competition. A maximum of around 30 teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis (subject to organiser discretion).

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 05 February 2026.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

  EVENT NAME: Lex Infinitum 2026 – 11th Edition of the International Dispute Resolution Competition FORMAT: The competition will be structured as : The competition consists of Preliminary Rounds, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and a Final Round .
