FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition is conducted in a fully virtual mediation format bringing together teams globally. It consists of Preliminary Rounds I & II, followed by Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the Grand Final. All registered teams compete in the two preliminary rounds. Based on scores, qualifying teams advance to the knockout rounds. Mediation problems are released in stages for prelims, quarters, semis, and finals, with confidential information released shortly before each round. Each round simulates structured mediation and negotiation sessions judged by ADR experts.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The competition is open to students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes at BCI-recognised institutions, and also to students pursuing comparable law programmes outside India. Both institutional teams and cross-institutional teams are permitted. The competition has a team cap of 40, including a separate cap of 10 cross-teams, and registration is confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Teams participate as mediation teams (mediator + negotiating side roles) as per the official rules. The brochure permits institutional as well as cross-institutional teams, meaning members may come from different universities (within the cross-team cap). Detailed role allocation and round mechanics are governed by the official competition rules released with the problems.

Registration Fees

      • 🇮🇳 National Teams: ₹4,200 per team

      • 🌍 International Teams: USD 54 per team

      • International fee must be paid strictly in USD

      • Registration confirmed only after successful payment

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

    Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 26th February 2026.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

  EVENT NAME: Lex Infinitum 2026 – 11th Edition of the International Dispute Resolution Competition FORMAT: The competition will be structured as : The competition consists of Preliminary Rounds, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and a Final Round .
